Apparently, the Vietnamese government has told airlines like Vietnam Airlines, VietJetAir, and Sun PhuQuoc Airways to look at their current agreements with US manufacturers. They're also supposed to find ways to increase imports from the US. All this comes from a directive by the Ministry of Construction after the Ministry of Industry and Trade asked for it.
Seems like they're trying to show the US that they're serious about trade commitments. It's not every day you hear about government pushing airlines to buy more from specific countries. I guess it's all about keeping good relations with Washington.
