American Airlines Flies Into Lincoln - New Routes to Dallas and Chicago!

Started by AviationCLT67 1 months ago 2 replies 87 views
American Airlines just started flying outta Lincoln Airport! They've added routes to Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago O'Hare. That's a big deal for folks in southeast Nebraska who are tired of driving to Omaha for flights.

They're using the Bombardier CRJ-700 for these routes, which seems like a good fit. It's got First Class and Main Cabin options, so even though it's a regional jet, it doesn't feel too cramped. Plus, no middle seats! Awesome, right?

The Lincoln to Dallas route is really interesting to me. DFW is American's biggest hub, so that opens up a ton of connecting flight options. The twice-daily service to Dallas should give a lot more flexibility for travelers.

What do you guys think? Is the Phoenix seasonal route gonna be a hit? And with United already flying to Chicago, do you think this will spark some fare competition? Curious to hear your thoughts!
Living in Lincoln, this is huge! No more long drives to Omaha just to catch a flight. The CRJ-700 is a decent choice; those First Class seats make a difference on regional flights. I'm curious about the Phoenix route too. If it's seasonal, it might just catch on, especially in the winter months when people are looking to escape the cold. As for fare competition, having two airlines to Chicago could definitely shake things up. Maybe we'll see some price drops.
